Andy convened the meeting @ 6:50 P.M.

County Recorder:  Jody wasn’t present for the meeting so Andy gave her report.  After purchasing the ammo. We now have $1808.00 remaining in the account.  Walter and Joanie’s dues were paid and a new membership was paid but they haven’t been deposited yet.

Safety Officer: Mike said there has been nothing to report since the last meeting other then receiving our ammo. So we touched on some safety issues from past meetings as sort of a refresher.

We talked about the usage of the term “Back Off” as it pertains to usage in skits and how if you should ever hear any other member say it that it means that you are too close and really should back off or get some space between you and them.

We also talked about holding a morning meeting each day before we do our skits at any event.  This will help us to get a better understanding of which scenarios we will be doing that day and who will be in each skit as to better prepare ourselves for the day.

We also decided to hold the next meeting, May 3rd at the Little Log House Village and to make this the first of our mandatory safety meetings.  We will set a second safety meeting for a Saturday (T.B.A.) so we can make that one a potluck.

Old Business: We discussed the changes to the current by-laws and any possible other changes.  All the changes were discussed and noted by Andy and will now be put onto our website.

Jody has received the contract for Log Cabin and we will be doing a total of 7 skits for the event.  We also discussed possibly selling things for the club at this and other events such as shirts and ball caps with our logo on them.  The idea was well received and Andy will investigate more before the next meeting.

New Business:  Rick spoke with Sue Dugan from the Root River event and she said she liked having us there but she wanted to take a year off from having us there.  So now July 14th is now open on our schedule.  We discussed possible replacements for this and other events and hopefully we will have more info for you by the next meeting.

Jody, Bev, And Derk are looking for volunteers for the Wild West Roundup.  There is plenty for everyone to do and any help would be appreciated.

Just a reminder about the reenactment competition at the Roundup this year.  It is a new event and with prizes totaling  $500.00 at it should draw in some good competition. This is a great chance to show what C.O.W.S. membership can do.  If you have any ideas for skits or just want to do your favorite one this is the chance to do it.  $300 to the best skit, $100 to the best actor and $100 to the best stunt.

We also discussed putting a picture disc together for advertising purposes and everyone thought it to be a good idea.  Andy said he would put something together.

A motion was made to end the meeting and it was seconded, and the meeting adjourned.
