Sheriff Andy Street convened the meeting at 6:49 p.m.
Treasurer’s report:
- Balance as of March 8, 2007 was ca. $3300.
Safety Officer’s report:
- Mike had nothing to report at this time.
Old Business:
- Waseca: The event went very well, and there was excellent participation by all the members present. The feedback from the Waseca organizers to us was positive, especially in light of the tragic event occurring the previous week.
- Members present approved a motion to donate $400 of the $500, which COWS received from Waseca, to the Kruger Family Memorial Fund.
- Kenyon Sleigh and Cutter Parade: COWS did not participate because the event was cancelled this year due to severe weather.
New Business:
- Revision of by-laws: As a result of deliberations by the Posse, the by-laws have been revised to reflect current practice and to recognize the role of the Posse in dealing with matters of conduct by members. The new by-laws were distributed to members present, and they will be posted on the COWS Website for all to read. We agreed that members would vote on accepting the by-laws at the April meeting.

* for a side by side comparison - see -
- McGregor Traders Jubilee: Due to lack of interest, COWS will not have a table at the Jubilee. Members who attend are encouraged to do trading on their own.
- Little Log House Antique Power Show: The organizers wanted to know if we are planning to be at the show this year. There was much discussion about how many skits we want to do there and how much we will charge for our work. We finally agreed that we would tell the organizers that we would do seven scenarios over two days and charge $750.

* Jody passed out brochures for this year, emphasizing

that a new reenactment contest will occur with a $300

first prize.

* There will also be a raffle ($5/ticket) for one of

Derk’s paintings.
- Root River Antique Power Show: We discussed this briefly and decided that we would participate only on Saturday. Rick will check with the organizers.
- Lanesboro: Ken said that he would check on arrangements.
- New members needed: Hud reminded members present that we need to recruit some new members who have the potential to play an active role in our club.
Meeting adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
