NEW BUSINESS:

Special Thanks from the Wild West Roundup crew:
We would like to thank the Cannon Old West Society for their continued support of the Wild West Roundup.  Without your involvement, the Roundup would not be the Great American Historical event that it is today.
A special THANKS to those of you that participated (and won) in the Wild West Roundup 1st Annual Reenactment Competition.
We are already looking forward to the 2008 competition.

Reenactment Competition Awards in 2008:
Best Overall Reenactment $300
Best Individual Stunt $100
Best Actor/Actress $100

This year we will have an appreciation meal at the chuckwagon on Friday night for all volunteers.  Please call or email us if you are planning to set up camp and/or help out with the event.  We have set aside two times for scenarios on Saturday and Sunday (11am + 2pm), and we can use all the help we can get!  Thanks from the bottom of our hearts!

New Special Events at the Wild West Roundup:
Added Old West Town Fronts and props for Reenactors use
Old Fashioned Fiddle Contest on Saturday at 4pm (cash prizes)

City of Dundas and the Roundup Combine Efforts:
This year the Roundup and the City of Dundas will combine efforts to celebrate our great American Heritage during this year of the 150 years of Minnesota’s Statehood. The Roundup will have living history activities, exciting action packed old west re-enactments & competition, fast draw contest, a ranch rodeo, fiddle contest, country & bluegrass musicians, dutch oven cook-off, and demonstrations of everyday life on the frontier. The City of Dundas will have an old-fashioned baseball game, an artisan’s fair, games and crafts for the kids, a horse and carriage contest, and live music Saturday evening.  We will have horse drawn people movers traveling between downtown Dundas and the Roundup grounds.

Don't miss out on the excitement!
Mark your calendar for June 7-8, 2008!
