Sheriff, Rick Stuve convened the meeting.

Treasurer Report - As of this date the club has 3,350.78. We have not been paid by Dakota City yet, but Jody is expecting that we will at least make enough to pay for the ammo we used.

Reminder: November - Dues - $25 per household!!!

Safety Report - Mike wasn't at the meeting, so Rick asked if anyone had any comments about safety issues in our past events.  There weren't any big things.  The two things that were mentioned were personal observations, such as - moving away from others when loading you guns, and being careful not to have your gun cocked when dying.

Ken mentioned that he thinks the two day events are hard to do because it is so difficult for members to commit to two days on a weekend.  We had three - 2 day events this past season.  We will have to talk about whether or not we will continue them.

Again it was pointed out that we need to make sure we always make announcements before and after the scenarios so that the public knows what we are doing. It was also said that we need to remember to give a demonstration of our ammo prior to the scenarios too.

There was also a lengthy discussion about mixing things up with the scenarios so that there is alot of action, not just shooting.  We seem to have conflicting opinions on this subject, and agreed to disagree.

Rick mentioned that it was a nice side affect to have the music playing at the train depot at Dakota City. Perhaps we should look into having a CD player to hook into our sound system, as well as a stand alone mic for the announcer.  Derk has agreed to check out our sound system and make a recommendation on how we might be able to persue this.

It was decided that the Christmas Party will be held at the Mill Street Tavern on January 20, 2007.  Mark this on your calendars, it should be a great event again this year.  Jody will take care of securing the date at the Tavern.

Nominations for Sheriff were made.  It was decided that the Deputy will take notes at the meetings and then give them to the Webmadam for posting on the internet. Jody will remain the Treasurer/Webmadam.

We will elect the new officers at the November meeting, and the new Officers will take over at the November meeting.  The person with the most votes will become Sheriff, and the runner up will become the Deputy.  Here is a list of nominations (if you don't want your name on this list let Jody know prior to the November election: Andy Street, Mike Kinsell, Gordy Heis, Hud Heidlebaugh, Mary Tulp, Dakota Rose, Rick Stuve, Gary Spessard

Meeting was adjourned.

Our November 2nd meeting will be at Kings Bar & Grill, Meisville, MN at 6:30pm.
We will hold elections, so do what you can to be there.
This is also the beginning of a new year - so membership dues are DUE!
