Sheriff Andy Street convened the meeting at 6:45 p.m.
FYI: October Meeting will be held at Kings in Miesville on October 4, at 6:30 pm.
Treasurer's report:
- It was reported the balance is $2052.96.
Safety report:
- No safety issues reported.
Old Business:
- Lanesboro: The event was a giant success. We have already been asked to come back again next year. The inside bar skits,as always, was really received well. After a lengthy discussion it was decided to look into ammo we can use indoors, (1/2 45's etc.) Caps and 22's just don't make enough noise. People like the noise factor and the acting out in the bars(card throwing, bottle on the head, etc)
- River Falls: The event will be planned more thoroughly for next year.
New business:
- It was suggested that over the winter season we re-address the issue of the rates to charge for next year. Other groups get a lot more for their fees.
- Jody has asked to resign as treasurer. Hud offered to step in until we vote on a new person in the fall. The group is hoping she will still remain a member of the club as she has so much to offer. Come out and play with us Jody!!
- Mabel: The stage is set for Sept 9th. Three skits, a parade and maybe some impromptu bar skits. Contact Hud if you plan on attending. 10-11 have signed up to attend.
- River Falls Buffalo Ranch: That event is the first weekend in October. Gordo will check into it.(Probably for next year).
- It was suggested we have cards and/or brochures to hand out to people if they are interested in booking us. It was considered a good idea,but no one volunteered. Any volunteers?
